Hanukkah

The Jewish Hanukkah, or Festival of Lights, is celebrated from November 28 to December 5 this year. It takes place in honor of the rededication of the second temple in Jerusalem in 169 BC. People usually celebrate with friends and family and give each other presents. There are traditional dishes of Jewish cuisine such as sufganiyot or latkes. Another candle is lit at the Hanukkah candlestick every evening until all candles are lit on the eighth day. We wish you a Happy Hanukkah!

It is also a time to spread peace and joy throughout the world. Whatever your traditions or celebrations involve, be sure to enjoy a sustainable Christmas with our green gifting and decorative ideas.
