Jeremy Corbyn - MP, former Labour Leader

➡️ JEREMY CORBYN – Progressive Leftwing British MP, Founder of Your Party
Corbyn's long-standing experience in British Parliament has made him a figurehead and inspiring leader in Left-wing progressive politics in the UK. He is currently serving as an independent MP for Islington North and has held the position of MP continuously since 1983.
In his 42 years of service, Corbyn has stuck by his morals and political standpoints as an anti-war and anti-nuclear weapons activist. Committed to democracy, social justice, and human rights, he is one of the few politicians who truly represent the needs of British people.

The Labour Party
For his unwavering dedication to peace, Corbyn was awarded the Gandhi International Peace Award in 2013 and the Sean McBride Peace Prize in 2017. He is actively involved with the Parliamentary Assembly for the Council of Europe, the UK Socialist Campaign Group, the UN Human Rights Council, and the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CNDUK).
The career of Corbyn has been heavily influenced by the political views of Tony Benn and his ideology of democratic socialism, the redistribution of power, his anti-war stance, and the empowerment of the working class.
Corbyn's progressive politics have made him the target of several campaigns to tarnish his reputation and destroy his chances of introducing such forward-thinking policies. Raising questions about the role of media in democracy, a report by the LSE concluded that "Corbyn was thoroughly delegitimised as a political actor from the moment he became a prominent candidate and even more so after he was elected as party leader, with a strong mandate."
The British corporate media used tactics such as personal attacks, false associations, and distortion of facts and quotes to prevent the rise of Corbyn and stunt his success. The anti-semitism smear campaign was a prime example of these dirty tactics manufactured by Keir Starmer, the Labour right, and the Israel lobby to destroy Corbyn's bid for power.

Corbyn's Vision
With his passion for peace, social justice, and human rights, Corbyn's political standpoints have always been focused on strong morals and ethics, with people at the heart of his agenda. Historically, Corbyn has always remained committed to huge public investment and an economic strategy of investing to grow, as opposed to spending cuts.
His international policies are anti-imperialist, he is opposed to military intervention, and stands in solidarity with the people of Palestine. Corbyn is particularly concerned with human rights issues in unresolved conflict areas such as the Middle East, Myanmar, Africa, Latin America, and India.
Corbyn has consistently promoted the value of migration to society as opposed to the traditional rhetoric of right-wing propaganda, branding immigrants as criminals and the enemy. He recognises that the vast majority of migration is a result of war.

Your Party (Provisional name)
In July 2025, it was officially announced that under the guidance of independent MPs Jeremy Corbyn and Zarah Sultana, who were both previously members of the Labour Party, a brand-new option for British voters is being established.
With much to discuss, a founding conference expected later in the year will "shape how Your Party works" and confirm their official name.
With the motto - "It's time to build a new kind of political party - one that belongs to you" this new left-wing, progressive, political party for the people has promised to "take on the rich and powerful".
In a show of enormous popularity, the first 24 hours of setting up their new website saw sign-ups hit 250,000 – exceeding Reform UK's previous record. One week later, it stands at a massive 700,000. In search of an alternative to the right-leaning Labour Party, the self-destructing Conservatives, and the divisive Reform, this progressive and left-wing party are set to be a serious contender for Kier Starmer.
The party is affiliated with the Independent Alliance, a parliamentary faction comprising six independent MPs who oppose inequality and war. The group includes Jeremy Corbyn, Zarah Sultana, Ayoub Khan, Adnan Hussain, Iqbal Mohamed, and Shockat Adam.
This new movement aims to fill the gaping void left by other traditional parties and will focus on economic stability, social equality, and environmental sustainability. By prioritising citizen engagement and transparency, Your Party seeks to end divisions and polarisation by building a more inclusive and forward-thinking society.
"Each and every one of us has a part to play in ensuring change, and we must continue to do everything we can to bring about a kinder and fairer world" - Jeremy Corbyn.
