The Right Livelihood Award (RLA) was established in 1980 to “honour and support courageous people solving global problems”. The 'Alternative Nobel Prize' has so far celebrated 198 laureates from 77 countries.

The 2024 Right Livelihood Award goes to: 1) Joan Carling (Philippines) 2) Issa Amro and Youth Against Settlements (Palestine) 3) Anabela Lemos and Justiça Ambiental! (Mozambique), and 4) Forensic Architecture (UK).
