“Realignment: A peaceful and sustainably developed world is (still) possible”
now in its fourth updated and freely available edition. He is married to Barbara Moegling and together they have raised their three grown sons and daughter, whom they have tried to prepare for the world as it is today and as it is likely to be in the future.
Is sustainable development still possible?
Moegling's book “Realignment” deals with this question in approximately 500 pages. It was written after an initial draft was published, drawing on existing knowledge and with the support of numerous qualified individuals. It is freely available in German and English on Moegling's website.
The English edition on the website (“Realignment”) has now been read by approximately 70,000 interested individuals from more than 50 countries. This feedback will also be incorporated into the further development of the manuscript.
The book was published in three editions by Budrich-Verlag. It was bought back by Klaus Moegling from the publisher and published in open access on his website. It is therefore a kind of democratization of socio-political knowledge, with the aim of developing this knowledge collectively.
After a critique of social conditions, the book develops a positive vision of social development, which ends in concrete steps for 5, 10, and 15 years. It examines the extent to which peaceful, democratic, just, and ecologically compatible social development is possible at the local, national, and global levels. Despite all the problems and negative developments, the positive opportunities and the potential supporters who can make them happen are also identified.
