*****

Animal rights recognise that animals are sentient beings with emotional, physical, and social needs. They are just as entitled as humans to be treated with compassion and respect.

These rights legally ensure protection from exploitation and suffering, guiding the fight against factory farming, animal testing, and other forms of cruelty.

The adoption of animal rights represents a profound shift in how we perceive and interact with the creatures that share our world.

Historically, animals have been viewed primarily as resources for human use, whether for food, clothing, entertainment, or scientific research. However, the animal rights movement challenges this view and advocates a fundamental change in our relationship with animals. It argues that animals should not be seen merely as commodities but as individuals with intrinsic value.

The movement also promotes adopting plant-based diets, boycotting animal-derived products and entertainment, and developing alternative methods for scientific research that do not involve animal testing.

Animal rights invite us to reconsider our ethical framework and to extend our circle of compassion beyond our own species. It is a call to action, urging us to create a world where all living beings can coexist with dignity and respect.

Animal Cruelty In Factory Farming

Worldwide, around 80 billion animals live and die in factory farming under deplorable, confined conditions where they cannot turn around. Genetically modified for unnatural growth, they face painful mutilations and early slaughter. Prioritising low cost and high output, this industry ignores animal well-being and public health.

The Harsh Life Of Street Dogs

Worldwide, an estimated 200 million stray dogs face harsh conditions, enduring extreme weather, food and water scarcity, and high risks of disease, injury, abuse, poisoning, and accidents. Abandoned or born on the streets due to poor sterilisation, these vulnerable animals suffer immensely. Dedicated organisations work tirelessly to protect, rehome, and humanely control their populations.
